Inspired by Nature and it’s creatures my work is inspired by the actual and by fantasy. Nature and our connection to it is undeniable and beautiful. I love creating pieces that connect these known and unknown worlds of fantasy and spirit. Ceramics are connected to the Earth and this medium is the focus of my sculptural work. I incorporate both realistic depictions and fantasy figures sometimes tied to stories I write. My drawings and paintings capture nature in all it’s forms. Even in the smallest piece of wood one can find patterns not seen elsewhere.

Each sculptural piece I create has it’s own energy and spirit. I am a hand builder and each of my works is unique unto itself. I love my pieces to reflect an illustrative and other wordly mystique. I achieve this by using a variety of techniques including stains, oxides, underglazes and differing firing techniques.

My hope is that my pieces are used as inspiration, joyous symbols, omage to creatures and in general bring more peace, love and joy wherever they land.
